    I liked its central location.

Bathroom was too small&pre-fabric. Sheets&Pillow cases were dirty.

The hotel was in a really quiret neighbourhood and in walking distance of Oxford Street.

The noise. It was as if the Tube ran across the room. I asked the hotelstaff to give us another room, but the said that there wasn't any quireter rooms.

    Location was good

It was in desperate need of attention. I was very disappointed. The bathroom smelled very bad and the room looked like it had not been decorated since 1970. This is no exaggeration!

I booked a single room, but fortunately I got one with a double bed. If you can't find anything else, it should do for one night.

I was in the 4th floor, with no elevator! Every ware was this old carpet, that needed to be cleaned. The room was tiny! I couldn't use the toilet without living its door open. I tried to shower but I couldn't move in this petite "closet" they call bath. The window wouldn't close for good so cold air came through the hole night and there was only a lousy cloth to cover it, so that the sun was shining in my face the other morning. There was a small tv but no remote! The door didn't close properly and it was shaking by every little airflow. It was very noisy and I hardly could get some sleep. The hole hotel is very old and needs a refresh, so although it seemed clean, you had this feeling that you shouldn't touch anything! Way to expensive...

always ready to help in all my needs (shopping, museums, transport, maps, facilities, etc.). Location is perfect (Paddington station, Big Bus stop,). very clean and comfortable. Good facilities for coffee/tea in the room.

    Stairs were a bit narrow

Breakfast was a joke, a small english breakfast consisted of 2 cold fried eggs and cold beans, so we eat out after that. Beds were uncomfortable and bathroom was so small that toilet was difficult to sit on because sink was in the way. We had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs as there was no lift.

Nice breakfast, very quiet place, nice beds, very friendly staff, easy to find, close to Paddington station and subway, good neighbourhood with restaurants/bars/cafés and beautiful trees in the sides of the road.

    No lift

The room was tiny (especially the bathroom). The shower was awful. The room stank of smoke even though I asked for non-smoking.

Location couldn't have been much better. I was nervous about the shower/hot water situation, having read previous reviews on this site but luckily I was staying on the first floor, and the water pressure and temperature were both great. The staff, particularly on reception, were very friendly. I was warned that I might have to change rooms part way through my stay but luckily this didn't happen.

Internet access unstable&slow. Bathroom:minute. I was in a twin room but you would have to be very good friends with your 'twin' to feel comfortable in such a small space. The room was 'cleaned' daily but even after 4 days, the ash I saw on the sill in the supposedly non smoking room on my first night was still there the morning I left. Things were not put back as I left them after the room was cleaned. The carpet was dirty & the room was very cramped. Breakfast was extremely basic (for example freeze dried coffee in a sachet) and you had to time it so that you avoided the queue in the small breakfast room. I did not enjoy my stay here, but it served it's purpose as a conveniently located roof over my head with a hot shower.

The double bed was comfortable, the hand held shower had good pressure.

There is no elevator/lift. there are 80+ narrow, steep stairs to the 4th floor. the bathroom looks and feels to be a converted closet. the sink sits in your lap when using the toilet; the shower stall is small and leaves little room for turing around The breakfast room has several small and short tables covered with dirty, white, linen, table cloths. Breakfast was cereal, milk, room temp yogurt, boiled eggs, bread, juice, coffee, tea. This accomodation is one which we will not return too, nor would we recommend these accomodations to anyone. I thought the price was very high for the quality. My children, (13,11,9 yrs) and I have travelled to many parts of the world and stayed in many kinds of accomodations.

Nothing, this hotel is a dump! I have booked many hotels from your site and expected the same excellent quality. This hotel needs to be removed or severely down graded.

The manager allowed us to leave our luggage at reception before our room was ready and we were given a box of chocolates as it was Easter.

There was no lift and we had heavy luggage. There was only one curtain in our room and the window that didn't fit properly so we could hear everything that went on outside. There were crumbs on the carpet still and the glue used to stick it down was,the TV was an old 14" portable which was miles away and a deposit was required for the remote which we weren't made aware of. The decor was tired and in need of redoing. The toilet was clearly a conversion of a cupboard and the seat was broken - I invented a new position for the karma sutra to use it!! I thought my light bulb was broken, but apparently there was something else wrong so they were very sorry there was nothing that could be done til morning

The hotel had a very convenient location in Norfolk Square, about 2 blocks from the Paddington Station

The hotel was very run down and old - old carpet, old beds, tiny TV that only got 4 stations. You could hear every noise in the hotel and the wind was whistling through the windows. The staff was friendly but it didn't make up for a pretty decripit hotel for a steep price.

  • Family with children

    Nice and friendly staff.

We got a poor room the first two nights, but got another when we complained. We did not get the kind of room we saw at the Internet when we ordered. No refund was offered. The breakfast was poor.

Hotel people are good and hotel is close to underground station and bus stop. Fairly a budget hotel.

    No lifts/elevator.
